Snow Feathers - Posted on 12/16/2007
While out walking in the field the next morning, I came upon this small plant sticking up above the snow. The stem was covered in a feathery coat of snowflakes that were reflecting the morning sunlight.

    You have to be kidding me! This is sweet. I don't want to breathe too hard for fear of melting those perfect flakes. I have to start getting up earlier as is evidenced by this and your previous posting. Clearly morning is a great time for snow shots.

    Beautiful and delicate, very nice Kim. Like the contrast of the plants and the flakes and the blue background adds to the overall composition. Very nice image.

    Wow, what a great shot! This is an iconic winter shot that you should probably enter in a contest somewhere. Are you sure they're snowflakes, though, or ice crystals? In any event, it's lovely lovely lovely!
